After drivers in the Bay State got a break from rising gas prices last week with prices holding steady, they were back to rising this week, jumping 3 cents, according to AAA Southern New England.

This week's survey of self-serve regular, unleaded in Massachusetts found the average price to be $3.76 per gallon, up 18 cents in the past month.
The current price is 6 cents below the national average of $3.82 per gallon and ranges 29 cents, from a low of $3.62 to a high of $3.91. Last year, the average in Massachusetts was $3.64.

The average cost of a gallon of diesel fuel is $4.05, up from $4.02 last week.
