Gardner Firm Opens SF Bay-Area Office

Gardner-based New England Peptide has opened a West Coast development office in Los Gatos, Calif.
According to the company, the office will allow for more "hands-on support and service" for customers in the Western United States.
The company has put John Phipps, who was hired in March, in charge of the West Coast office. In 2001, Phipps founded Global Peptide Services in Colorado.
New England Peptide designs and manufactures custom peptides and antibodies used in drug, vaccine and diagnostic research. The company said many of its West Coast customers also have commercial aspirations and therefore need peptides and related services during peak working hours.
