A 15,000-square-foot mixed-use building on the edge of Gardner’s downtown will head to an auction later this month.
The building at 51-67 Chestnut St. includes a first-floor commercial space that’s been used as a convenience store by Honey Land Farms and 16 residential units on the second and third floors. The site’s residential units include 11 one-bedroom spaces and five two-bedroom. The commercial space is just over 2,000 square feet.
A state tax lien was placed on the property on Thursday. The roughly half-acre site is owned by Patrick Hannula and was last assessed by the city at $433,000.
The auctioneering and appraisal firm Posnik, which has local offices in West Springfield, will hold an auction for the property March 15.
