The brewery at the Gardner Ale House has announced that it will distribute its beer under the name Moon Hill Brewing Co.
The distribution will begin at Leominster’s The Columbia Tavern, according to a release from the company, with the brewery taking over all the beer taps at a special event Thursday. From there the company will expand into other bars and restaurants with beers currently only available at the Gardner Ale House brew pub and then eventually bottle and can for further distribution, according to a company spokesperson.
Owner Rick Walton said in a statement he started the brewing company as an umbrella organization for the Gardner Ale House, but now the next step will be distributing the beer.
Moon Hill is already dispensing its Packie Run Session IPA at The Columbia Tavern. At the grand opening event on Thursday, which begins at 6 p.m., all tap beer served will be from Moon Hill.
