Framingham State University is partnering with the space agency NASA to better equip the school’s faculty with learning tools and development opportunities.
FSU will officially become a NASA Educator Resource Center next month along with approximately 60 other colleges and universities in the country. NASA officials will visit the campus on Oct. 17 to make the official announcement.
A collection of NASA resources will be housed in the Henry Whittemore Curriculum Library.
The college already has a relationship with NASA through the Christa McAuliffe Challenger Learning Center, which contains full-size mockups of Houston’s Mission Control and a space station interior. The center is used to teach science lessons through the use of simulated space flight.
