Tim Firment has stepped down as CEO of the Fruitlands Museum in Harvard.
The museum made the announcement late Friday but did not give a reason for Firment’s immediate departure.
The museum will be searching for an interim director to be appointed this fall, then expects to hire a full-time executive director next year.
The museum was rocked by an embezzlement scandal in 2008 before welcoming Firment. In a release, the museum thanked Firment for his work. No reason was given for his departure.
