Fresh off buying Worcester’s AC Marriott, developer buys Hudson $55M apartments

Bridgewater-based Claremont Cos. purchased Matrix Hudson, a 176-unit apartment complex in Hudson, for $55.5 million on Friday, according to the Middlesex South registry of deeds.

The property was last sold in 2018 to PP Hudson Investors LLC, an affiliate of New York City firm Pantzer Properties, for $44.2 million. The property was last assessed in 2021 by the Town of Hudson for $429,000 as vacant land.

In September, Claremont Cos. purchased the AC Hotel by Marriott Worcester for $40 million.

Claremont Properties was founded in 1968 and owns more than 60 properties, according to the company’s website. The company focuses on hotel and residential properties.
