The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester celebrated a topping-off ceremony for the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex, with the last steel beam put into position. The Hart Center is getting a 138,000-square-foot renovation and adding 143,000 square feet of space. The facility will include an indoor practice area, space for sports medicine services, offices, locker rooms and an auxiliary gymnasium, among other improvements. BOND of Boston is managing construction; completion is set for early 2018.
Wachusett Mountain is open to skiiers, hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony of its new, direct-to-lift electronic ticketing system and its first chair lift of the season.
