French Carmaker, 3Com Sign Deal

Marlborough-based communications network hardware maker 3Com Corp. said French automobile manufacturer Peugeot Citroen will use the company's H3C switches.
The manufacturer said the 3Com equipment is expected to reduce network installation and usage costs. Peugeot's purchase of 3Com switches is also part of its "green" plan, the company said. 3Com switches use up to 60 percent less power than others.
Peugeot claims it is the most efficient car manufacturer in Europe.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
