Onsite Engineering, a Franklin-based firm specializing in water engineering, has been acquired by Fuss & O'Neill, an engineering firm based in Hartford, Connecticut.
Fuss & O’Neill’s acquisition of the company increases its staff to more than 400 employees at its 11 offices throughout New England and New York, according to a press release issued by Fuss & O’Neill on Tuesday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Fuss & O’Neill is a great fit for us, given their long and illustrious history of client-focused consulting. They recognize our value and the contributions we will make in helping them expand their presence in the decentralized water and wastewater space,” Onsite President David Formato said in the press release. “We are excited about this partnership and the opportunities it brings for our team and our clients.”
Formato has led the firm since it was founded in 2006, according to his LinkedIn page.
Onsite specializes in water engineering projects related to drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater, providing services including feasibility assessments, wastewater treatment facility upgrades and retrofits, storage tank design, and leak detection surveys.
Fuss O’Neill marked its 100-year anniversary in May by announcing the relocation of its headquarters from Manchester, Connecticut to Hartford. The firm has been involved in developing plans to redesign a busy intersection in Springfield and provide traffic engineering support for the redesign of a Quincy bus maintenance facility, among other projects across the Northeast, according to the company’s website.
