A former glass recycling facility in Franklin has been sold for $1.6 million, with plans for demolition to make way for a new warehouse starting this fall.
The new owner, TMC Holdings & Development, is planning a 50,000-square-foot warehouse, according to R.W. Holmes Realty Co. of Wayland, which brokered the sale. The 7.5-acre site at 45 Kenwood Circle, the realty firm noted, is located in the town's marijuana overlay district, creating a potential for a cannabis growing operation.
TMC Holdings & Development, which is registered to Matthew and Thomas Clark of Bellingham, bought the site in a sale that closed Monday. The seller was Kenwood Partners Limited Partnership, which is registered in Chicago.
Franklin last assessed the site at $1.5 million.
