Franklin-based medical device maker PLC Systems Inc. says it has inked a distribution deal to bring its key product to Spain.
The company said Izasa Distribuciones Tecnicas of Barcelona will distribute the RenalGuard system in Spain for five years under the new contract. Izasa is part of the privately-owned Werfen Group, an international health care company.
PLC received approval to sell the RenalGuard system in Europe in 2007. The system is used to balance fluids in patients undergoing cardiovascular imaging procedures.
