A Millbury franchise operator has been honored with the company's highest award at its annual franchisee meeting for embodying the entrepreneurial spirit of one of the firm's pioneer storeowners.
Coldstone Creamery, a national ice cream franchise, has operations at the Shoppes at Blackstone Valley plaza in Millbury. The store is owned and operated by Paul and Karen Weldon and Eunice and John Malkasian, who were the recipients of Coldstone's Dan Farr Pioneer Award.
The Millbury location is one of the top grossing stores in ice cream and cake sales, often raking No. 2 behind the Times Square flagship store, and are ranked among the top 5 percent of stores in customer volume.
