Career highlights: For over 10 years I have worked in nonprofit organizations, most specifically in human resources. In 2011, I won an award at UMass Memorial for work I did to help get about 10,000 employees trained on wage and hour laws. In 2013, I won a similar award for aiding the successful implementation of employee recognition “toolkits” to managers.
Community involvement: For five months this year I worked as a marketing volunteer for Girls Inc. of Worcester, where I assisted with maintaining the organization’s presence on social media, helped with writing and distribution of press releases and public service announcements, and aided in the design and orchestration of special events. For the past two years I have also volunteered for Boy Scouts of America as Pack 151 of West Boylston’s camp coordinator.
Ultimate career goal: When I grow up, I want to be a writer.
Non-relative you admire most: Elie Wiesel
Favorite book: “The Princess Bride,” by William Goldman
Hidden talents: In a word: selfies. I take them often and have been told that I have a special talent for taking perfect selfie photos.
