Framingham international healthcare and life science firm Alira Health has acquired a contract research company just down the street.
Clinical Assistance Programs, which provides clinical trial management and consulting services, is now part of Alira Health. Both companies have locations in Framingham by the Natick line.
In a Tuesday press release, Alira Health said the purchase will strengthen the firm’s scientific and clinical core and provide a full range of regulatory, clinical and medical services.
The purchase price was not disclosed in Tuesday’s announcement.
In a statement, Alira Health CEO Gabriele Brambilla said CAP’s clinical trial management expertise compliments Alira’s services perfectly.
“This strategic acquisition enhances our ability to support our clients' drug and device clinical research programs," Brambilla said. "With the addition of CAP's outstanding team, Alira Health continues its focus on advancing innovation in healthcare."
Harry Barnett, managing partner of CAP, said the move will provide the company with access to scientific expertise, enhance its regulatory and therapeutic service offerings and expand its geographic reach, as Alira has six locations across the U.S. and Europe.
“CAP and Alira Health share collaborative, quality-driven cultures and a strategic vision,” Barnett said. “Now we can provide to our healthcare clients a broader array of services with the same passion and quality for which we are known.”
