Framingham State University is the latest Central Massachusetts college to plan a generally typical fall semester after the coronavirus pandemic upended this school year.
The school said Friday it is aiming for most courses to be held in-person and for residents halls to be filled close to normal capacity, and a return to in-person events and activities while keeping safety standards in place. The school cited the state’s campaign to vaccinate a large majority of Massachusetts residents by early summer.

Framingham State joins a growing list of other area colleges announcing fall semesters that will be close to normal, including Fitchburg State, Worcester State, the College of the Holy Cross, and Quinsigamond Community College, the last of which, without dorms, had virtually no in-person component this school year.
