Framingham State University hired Marilyn Cleary as its new dean of graduate and continuing education. Cleary will begin in her new role June 19th.
Cleary replaces interim dean of graduate and continuing education Paula Hogard, who is retiring.
Cleary has served as the assistant dean of graduate studies and continuing education at Worcester State University since 2016,. She has a doctor of education in organizational leadership from Northeastern University and is in the process of completing a diversity and inclusion certificate from the Racial Equity and Justice Institute at Clark University, according to a Friday press release from FSU.
“We are thrilled that Dr. Cleary has agreed to lead Framingham State’s division of graduate and continuing education,” FSU President Nancy Niemi said in the press release. “The work of the division is complex and serves a wide-range of students, from current professionals seeking a master’s degree, to older adults looking to finish up the remaining credits they need for their bachelor’s degree. She brings a wealth of experience to this work, and a record of using data and analytics to shape strategic planning.”
