Framingham hotel sold for $16M to Newton hospitality company

Newton hospitality investment firm JNR Management Inc. purchased the 125-room Residence Inn Boston Framingham from Philadelphia-based APEX Capital Investments Corp.

JNR will retain the Marriott branding under a long-term agreement with Marriott International Inc., according to a Tuesday press release by real estate and investment management firm JLL, which represented APEX in the sale.

A second hotel, the 96-room Residence Inn Norwood/Canton, was also sold in the deal.

The hotel property at 400 Staples Drive in Framingham was sold on Monday for $15.8 million, according to the Middlesex South Registry of deeds.

JNR owns 12 hotels across New England, according to the company’s website.
