Framingham construction firm Perini Management Services has secured two task orders valued at $34 million to complete renovations on military buildings in North Carolina damaged by Hurricane Florence.
The work at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in North Carolina will include two separate projects, both for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic District.
The first task order valued at $22.8 million is a design-build project including renovation of three buildings. The Fire Station Facilities task order, valued at $11.2 million, is a design-build project that includes renovation of two buildings.
Both task orders involve repairing buildings damaged by Hurricane Florence in 2018, according to a release from the company The scope of work primarily consists of phased building renovations and replacement of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
Work on both task orders is expected to begin immediately with substantial completion of both by late 2022, according to the company.
