Newly launched Framingham-based Plousio has edged into the small business lending space with an online marketplace that connects business owners with over 70 direct lenders.
According to a release from the company, small businesses can use Plousio to apply for loans ranging from $1,000 to more than $1 million. The online system uses a questionnaire and an algorithm to match them with potential lenders.
Founder and CEO Alex Chang previously worked at companies including Staples and EMC.
“Running a business is never easy, but it’s especially tough for small business owners … finding the capital to support the business is even harder,” Chang said in a statement talking about his company’s offering.
Plousio charges no fees for this service.
