A Framingham company providing information for first responders to get to emergencies quicker and more efficiently on Wednesday reported a 125-percent increase in state and local customers in the past year.
Rave Mobile Safety, founded in 2004, provides a mobile app sending emergency notifications to users in seconds. According to the company, more than 3,100 communities across 50 states are using the app.
Last week, the company announced the launch of its Rave 911 Suite in Worcester, which it said then marked a 75-percent increase in its population coverage over the last year. With the Worcester launch, 27 cities and towns in Massachusetts use the Rave 911 Suite.
According to the company, the service allows users to create an online profile displaying to dispatchers when a 9-1-1 call is made. Critical information such as home address, bedroom location, pet information, medical details and information on disabled residents can be provided in the profile to help reduce response times and increase efficiency.
