The Framingham Co-operative Bank Charitable Foundation has donated $10,000 to the Loring Arena in Framingham to help the town-owned facility with energy costs.
The donation was made to the town parks and recreation commission, which is responsible for the arena. The commission said energy costs had made it impossible to keep the facility comfortably warm.
Since it was established in 1998, the foundation has given more than $1.4 million. Its most recent round of grants approached $50,000 to a variety of Framingham-area organizations.
