Framingham-based maker of batteries for portable devices Global Technology Systems is now offering a suite of managed services for the company’s original equipment manufacturers.
GTS said Tuesday it is the first portable device battery manufacturer to offer those services to its customers, who can then offer those services to end users.
The company said its services cover the full life cycle of portable device batteries from design and engineering to post-manufacturing.
Each service is designed for original equipment manufacturers, or OEMs, to enable their customers to increase portable operation productivity and efficiency, decrease costs and eliminate frustrations and safety issues with poor-quality batteries.
The services include testing and replacing bad batteries, color coding to help identify old batteries and free lithium battery recycling.
According to the company’s website, GTS makes batteries for at least 24 companies, including Dell, Casio, Kenwood, Lenovo, Motorola, Nextel, Panasonic and others.
