MutualOne Bank has hired Daniel Serafin to be its senior vice president and first-ever chief technology officer.
Serafin joins MutualOne Bank after recently serving as chief information officer at Southbridge-based Savers Bank and chief information officer at Hudson-based Avida Bank from 2014 to 2020, according to a Tuesday press release from MutualOne. He received his bachelor’s degree in information technology from UMass Lowell.
Serafin will be the first person to serve as MutualOne’s CTO, and the bank hired him to plan and implement strategic and technological initiatives. He will be responsible for focusing on the effectiveness, efficiency, availability, and security of technology platforms.
MutualOne Bank, which is headquartered in Framingham, has four branches and as of June 2021 had 89 employees and $797 million in local deposits, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
