Genesis Club House, the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester, Girls Inc. of Worcester and The SHINE Initiative have each collected $10,000 grants from Fallon Health.
The Worcester healthcare organization announced a total of $100,000 in grants to 10 nonprofits statewide Wednesday to help underserved communities.
Genesis Club House in Worcester was a recipient for its Worcester County Older Adults Committee, which visits inactive older members and those isolated in their homes due to physical or mental health issues, with the goal of reducing isolation and loneliness.
Boys & Girls Club of Worcester for was funded for its family support program, which provides counseling for children and families, referrals, service plans and case management.
Girls Inc. of Worcester received funding for its after-school and summer camp program it says serves the whole girl in safe, gender-specific environments.
The SHINE Initiative was awarded funds for its Swatting the Stigma of Mental Illness Program, which combats and de-stigmatizes mental health conditions in children, teens and young adults.
