Howard Stempler, former partner with Worcester law firm Seder & Chandler has embarked on a new venture, Central Mass. Mediation and Arbitration Services, and plans on opening an office in the Mercantile Center at 120 Front St. in Worcester at the beginning of 2023.
“I left Seder & Chandler after about 15 years to move my practice away from litigation and set up this business to help folks resolve their matters through mediation and arbitration process,” said Stempler in an email.
Stempler is not new to starting businesses, as he was a co-founder and former owner of Baba Sushi, and founded a snowsport helmet company called OVO USA, LLC.
Stempler, represented by Jim Glickman of Worcester real estate firm NAI Glickman Kovago and Jacobs, signed a lease on a 1,999-square-foot office space on the fourth floor of 120 Front, according to a press release from the building’s owner Franklin Realty Advisors of Wellesley, who was represented by Will Kelleher of Worcester real estate firm Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates.
“We saw the continued growth and development of downtown Worcester and, specifically, of the Mercantile Center Properties and knew we wanted to be a part of it,” said Stempler in the press release.
Stempler will also operate his own law practice at the location.
