A sports complex with two indoor soccer fields and retail space in Milford has been sold for $2.1 million.
The location known as John Smith Sports at 70 Sumner St. was sold on June 19 by John Smith, who played for the New England Patriots in the 1970’s and 1980’s as a placekicker, to Allen and Kitty Dantas. According to the sports facility’s website, the 40,000-square-foot indoor facility hosts soccer, field hockey, and lacrosse leagues as well as private events.
According to a Loopnet listing from this month, the sports facility sits on 3.84 acres and has a commercial kitchen, space for 127 cars and a full service recreational building in the front with just under 4,000 square feet.
The property is located off of I-495 and 15 minutes from the commuter rail.
