Acton medical device manufacturer Insulet has made a number of changes to its board, including the retirement of its former leader.

Shacey Petrovic, who served as Insulet’s president and CEO from 2019 until June 2022, will retire from the company’s board of directors in May. Board member Corinne Nevinny will also step down at this time, according to a press release issued by Insulet on Thursday.

Petrovic stepped down from the CEO role at Insulet in June 2022, with the company citing personal reasons for her resignation. Her departure meant there are no Central Massachusetts companies traded on the New York Stock Exchange or Nasdaq led by a woman CEO.

"As we say goodbye to Shacey Petrovic and Corinne Nevinny, we thank them for their invaluable contributions and dedication to Insulet’s mission to improve the lives of people with diabetes," Timothy Scannell, Insulet’s chairman, said in the press release. "Shacey’s time with us is marked by her visionary and inspiring leadership, which has been instrumental to our growth trajectory. Her legacy, combined with Corinne’s significant insights and contributions, leaves an incredibly positive mark on our company’s journey.”

Insulet announced on Thursday two previous additions to its board. Flavia Pease, who is the corporate executive vice president and CFO at Charles River Laboratories in Wilmington, and Timothy Stonesifer, CFO of Swiss medical device company Alcon, joined the board on Jan. 18.

"We are excited to welcome Flavia and Tim to the Insulet board," Scannell said. "They are both highly respected leaders who have had distinguished careers and critical leadership roles in prominent corporations. Their skills should support and enhance our commitment to excellence and innovation. We look forward to benefiting from their expertise and insights."

Prior to joining Charles River in 2022, Pease worked in leadership roles for New Jersey-based Johnson & Johnson for more than 20 years. Stonesifer’s experience includes time in executive roles at Texas’ Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Michigan’s General Motors.
