Patrick Hughes, former president and CEO of Worcester insurer Fallon Health, is now chairman of the Curry College Board of Trustees, the Milton liberal arts college announced Tuesday.
Hughes, a former NFL linebacker, retired from Fallon in 2015. According to a statement from Curry, Hughes joined the board of trustees in 2013 and most recently served as vice chairman. He was elected to the chairman position during the board’s year-end meeting.
Hughes succeeds Anthony Campo, an attorney who stepped down as board chair upon being appointed an associate justice of the Superior Court in Massachusetts in May.
Hughes is the father of the late Justin Hughes, a 1996 honor graduate, Curry said.
