The former Ethan Allen Showroom at 619 Southbridge Street in Auburn has been sold and will be redeveloped for new retail tenants, according to the broker, Glickman Kovago & Co.
Mike Jacobs of Glickman Kovago, who represented the seller and procured the buyer, said the building and three-acre parcel sold for $925,000. Jacobs said two or three new retail tenants will move into the building, but they haven't been identified yet.
"We're entertaining several now," Jacobs said.
According to Jacobs, the Ethan Allen Showroom in Auburn closed in 2007. Amazing Furniture, the following tenant, closed too.
Redevelopment of the 18,000 square-foot space will begin within the next 90 days, Jacobs said.
Glickman Kovago will act as the property manager for the buyer, Capital Realty Associations LLC of Rhode Island.
