Cognex Corp. of Natick said it hired Robert Willett to run the company’s largest, most profitable division.
Willett is now president of Cognex’s modular vision systems division, which designs, develops and manufactures sensors, vision systems and ID readers used in automotive and other manufacturing processes.
Willett previously worked at Danaher Corp., a manufacturer of industrial controls, where he was vice president. Cognex CEO Robert Shillman said hiring Willett is part of the company’s goal to reach $500 million in annual revenue. He said the company was attracted by Willett’s experience in international acquisitions.
