Al-Sadiq Islamic Center Inc. has purchased the former location of The Crystal Room Milford for $1.4 million as the nonprofit is moving its headquarters from Framingham.
The property sale of the former funcion hall 49 Cedar St. in Milford closed on Thursday, according to the Worcester Registry of Deeds
Al-Sadiq Islamic Center Inc. has switched its headquarters from 1001 Worcester Road in Framingham to the site of its new Milford purchase. The nonprofit establishes and maintains mosques, as well as other Islamic education institutions; it is led by Akbar Ansari, according to its profile with the nonprofit tracker Guidestar.
The seller of the Milford property was an entity registered to The Crystal Room’s owner Keith Usher.
The 1.1-acre property was last sold for $700,000 in 2013 and is assessed by the Town of Milford for $783,500.
