Former BJ’s Wholesale Club Chairman, President and CEO Laura Sen has been named to the board of directors and audit committee of Burlington Stores, Inc.
Sen brings decades of years of retail experience to the Burlington, N.J.-based company, including the last 19 at BJ’s.
“I am excited to join Burlington’s board and work with this exceptional team,” Sen said. “The company is well positioned in the off-price retail space, and I look forward to sharing my experiences and contributing to its future direction and growth.”
Sen held executive or director positions at Westborough-based BJ’s since 1997, including as CEO from 2009 to the end of 2015.
She spent the last two years as non-executive chairwoman until leaving the company in May. Her departure came as the company went public for the second time in its history. Christopher Baldwin is the current BJ's CEO.
Sen still holds positions as a director of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. and Massachusetts Port Authority.
