The former Framingham headquarters of office supply manufacturer Avery Dennison has been sold to a housing developer for $4.7 million.
VTT Management, a Framingham firm specializing in the redevelopment of residential and commercial buildings, closed on the sale Tuesday.
The seller was Yaro Enterprises of Rochester, New York, which purchased the building just last year for $4.15 million. Tony Kirik, that firm's vice president, said the company was chasing MassBay Community College while it owned the building, but that project never came to fruition.
Currently, the building is home to at least one tenant: a Social Security office.
The 101,900-square-foot building was built in 1990 as the corporate headquarters of the Framingham officer supplier, but the company has since moved to a Westborough building.
Property flyers market the building as office space, but also note that the building can be converted to 64 apartments.
