Two parcels of warehouse and office space on Authority Drive in Fitchburg sold for more than $5.8 million to Boston real estate investors GFI Partners, according to the North Worcester County Registry of Deeds.
The sales closed Aug. 20.
Both parcels were sold by limited liability corporations registered to Ward McLaughlin, vice president and general manager at packaging company Boutwell, Owens & Co., Inc. The company is located at 251 Authority Drive in Fitchburg, according to its website.
Boutwell was acquired by Oliver, Inc., a printing and packaging company with offices in Ohio, Virginia, and New York, in March, according to its website.
Boutwell is still listed on its website and Oliver, Inc.’s website at the larger parcel at 251 Authority Dr., which sprawls almost six acres and 85,570 square feet. Representatives from the company were unavailable for comment. It is assessed by the City of Fitchburg at $3.12 million and last sold in 1991 for $1.35 million.
The second parcel at 207 Authority Dr. is home to Behavioral Concepts, Inc., a behavioral center for children with autism. The 30,000-square-foot building was sold for $1.2 million.
It was last sold to McLaughlin in 2016 for $1.25 million, according to the deeds registry, and is assessed by the City of Fitchburg at $1.44 million.
