A corporation owned by Terry Taylor, one of the nation’s largest private owners of car dealerships, has purchased an office building on Route 9 in Westborough with the intent of putting a Hyundai dealership at the location.
TTHY Westborough purchased the 7.27-acre parcel, located at 180 Turnpike Road, for $6 million with the intent of demolishing the current office building at the location and constructing a dealership to include a showroom, a drive-in service shop, and a parking garage, according to a press release issued by Greater Boston Commercial Properties on Thursday.
This purchase is in addition to TTHY’s purchase of an adjacent parcel located at 182 Turnpike Road, which was sold earlier in November.
Benjamin Gatti and Nishan Papazian of Greater Boston Commercial Properties represented the seller in the sale of 180 Turnpike Road. The deal hasn’t officially closed, according to filings with the Worcester Registry of Deeds, and the current owner is listed as 180 Turnpike Road LLC. That corporation is listed to Susan and Peter McCarthy of Westborough, according to the Mass. Secretary of the Commonwealth.
A corporation linked to Taylor also bought a Framingham Acura dealer in March.
