Nick Tucci has been named as senior vice president and CFO of Flexcon Holdings Trust, the Spencer-based parent company of Flexcon Co. and two other material science manufacturing companies.
Tucci was a member of FHT’s advisory board before transiting into this role. He served for 25 years as the vice president and general manager of North America for Avery Dennison, the Fitchburg-based label and packaging material company, according to a press release issued by FHT on Tuesday.
In his role with FHT, Tucci will support the long-term growth of companies in the firm’s portfolio.
“Nick will play a critical leadership role as part of the leadership team at FHT. He brings extensive specific knowledge of our industry, functional expertise, and an action oriented strategic mind,” Michael Foley, CEO of FHT, said in the press release. “When he joined the FHT advisory board, we realized we found a very special person with practical insight, analytical rigor, and a collaborative approach. We are very comfortable and confident he’ll both fit in and make an immediate contribution as he demonstrated to us in his role on the board already.”
FHT cited Tucci’s past history in interacting with the leadership of FHT, Flexcon, and other portfolio companies as a factor that will prepare him for this new role. In addition to Flexcon Co., the two other companies in FHT’s portfolio are Arlon, a sign and graphics company based in California, and Blueshift Materials, a Spencer-based manufacturer of thermal protection films.Â
“Over the past year, I have had the opportunity to work and form relationships with the leadership teams from Flexcon, Arlon, Blueshift and FHT as well as meet and work with select members of the founding family,” Tucci said. “As a board member, I was excited to learn about the team and the long-term strategic plans of the company.”
Tucci replaces former CFO Ethan Goldman, who has transitioned into a role as treasurer of FHT.
Tucci has an MBA from Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in business and finance from Miami University in Ohio.Â
