Flash Poll: Lining up behind ousted Market Basket CEO
Market Basket, a grocery store chain with seven stores in Central Massachusetts, has long been embroiled in a family battle between the children of the founder's sons, George and Telemachus Demoulas. That battle reached a fever pitch recently when the board of directors, controlled by George's family, fired CEO Arthur T. Demoulas, a son of Telemachus. Managers loyal to him rallied in support of their boss, with some having been fired after warnings by company management. In our Flash Poll for the week of July 22, most voters also sided with Arthur T.
