The Worcester Planning Board will be asked on Wednesday to approve special permits for five cannabis businesses including three storefront retailers and two producers.
Evergreen Strategies at 143 Southwest Cutoff, Mayflower Medicinals at 645 Park Avenue and Trichome Health Corp. at 68 West Boylston St. hope to win city approval to operate retail recreational marijuana stores. None of those three businesses are proposing to co-locate a medical dispensary with recreational marijuana retail operations.
On the production side, the Planning Board is being asked to approve two cultivators and product manufacturers: The Curated Leaf at 10 Pullman St. and RC Cultivation LLC at 30 Pullman St.
Pullman Street is already home to medical dispensary The Botanist, which is looking to open the location for adult-use operations.
So far in Worcester, the only marijuana companies approved by the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission to be open are Good Chemistry for adult-use and medical retail operations, Temescal Wellness for cultivation and manufacturing, and Mission Massachusetts for medical dispensing operations.
