Five behavioral health clinics in Central Massachusetts will be part of a statewide network aimed at streamlining access to behavioral health care and cutting down emergency room visits.
The clinics are among 25 designated community behavioral health centers to be funded by the state, the Gov. Charlie Baker administration announced on Tuesday. Those Central Massachusetts centers are: Advocates in Framingham, Clinical Support Options in Gardner, Community HealthLink in Worcester, Community HealthLink in Leominster, and Riverside Community Care in Milford.
At the same time, the governor’s office announced the launch of a new Behavioral Health Help Line, which will provide support, triage, and help navigating and connecting to appropriate services. The line (833-773-BHHL) will be available via phone call, text, or online messaging at masshelpline.com.
The Tuesday announcements are part of a larger Roadmap for Behavioral Health Reform initiative launched under Baker, who is leaving office on Thursday.
