Fitchburg transportation company R.A. Aldrich Trucking received a $44,000 loan from the North Central Massachusetts Development Corp. to assist with the purchase of a new semi-truck, the small business financing organization announced Tuesday.
The new truck, a 2020 Peterbilt Model 389, is to replace R.A. Aldrich’s truck that the NCMDC financed two years ago.
“When I started my business three years ago, I applied for a loan to facilitate the purchase of my first truck to make petroleum deliveries,” said Rafael Aldrich, owner of R.A. Aldrich Trucking, in a written statement. “Thanks to the financial assistance and support from the North Central Massachusetts Development Corporation, I’ve been able to update my equipment and continue growing my business.”
The North Central Massachusetts Development Corp. is the economic development arm of the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce, and it provides microloans to companies throughout the region.
