Fitchburg marijuana grower Revolutionary Clinics announced Wednesday it had formed an umbrella brand for its products for sale across Massachusetts, while touting its new 140,000-square-foot facility.
The newly launched 12 cannabis product lines will be labeled under the umbrella brand, Licit Brands, and are for sale at 25 locations in Massachusetts, including at Caroline’s Cannabis in Uxbridge and Revolutionary Clinic’s own medical dispensaries in Cambridge and Somerville.
Revolutionary’s 140,000-square-foot Fitchburg facility used to be a shoe factory for brands like Harley Davidson and Brooks Brothers, but the marijuana company uses it to grow and manufacture products. The facility allows the company to expand to up to 250,000 square feet.
In the three years since Revolutionary started seeking to create its facility in Fitchburg, the company has paid more than $700,000 in tax revenue and giving $25,000 annually in charitable contributions to community partners.
