Fitchburg-based medical device maker Arrhythmia Research Technology Inc. has signed a software license agreement with Nihon Kohden Corp. of Japan.
Under the agreement, Arrhythmia has granted Nihon a restricted license and non-exclusive rights and license to use, sell and sub-license Arrhythmia’s Predictor electrocardiography software.
Nihon will use the technology only in its electrocardiogram and other ECG-related products.
Arrhythmia said the agreement with Nihon is the first license agreement for the Predictor technology. The agreement is for a five-year initial term and is the result of a long-term development project between the two companies.
