NewVue Communities received a $10,000 dollar donation from Fitchburg-based Rollstone Bank & Trust to help hire and onboard an intake specialist who will help support people seeking assistance with eviction and foreclosure prevention services.
According to a Wednesday press release from Rollstone, the intake specialist will play an important role with NewVue Communities’ new partnership with the MassDREAMS program, a new program that offers down payment and closing cost grants for first-time homebuyers in Massachusetts Communities that were hit the hardest by the economic effects of COVID-19.
“We are so grateful for Rollstone Bank & Trust for their continued support and for giving us the opportunity to bring on a new employee,” said Marc Dohan, executive director of NewVue Communities in the press release. “Our new partnership with the MassDREAMS Program will increase the demand of our services and we know that the hiring, onboarding and training of a new Intake Specialist will help us tremendously in future endeavors.”
“We have been longtime supporters of NewVue Communities and its work to provide critical services and programs to strengthen our neighborhoods,” said Martin Connors, Jr., president & CEO of Rollstone Bank & Trust.
NewVue communities is based in Fitchburg and serves 22 communities across North Central Massachusetts, aiming to fuel economic and social progress through housing development, homeownership, small business development and community organizing, according to the organization’s website.
