Fitchburg catering business gets $20K loan from NCMDC

The North Central Massachusetts Development Corp. has approved a $20,000 microloan to the owners of a Fitchburg-based catering company.
Owners Elizabeth Sodano Brisebois and Joseph Brisebois have recently expanding their business, L&J’s Cormier Catering, including the purchase of Shirley Catering and its building at 70 King St. in Fitchburg.
The loan was part of a gap financing partnership with TD Bank to help the business with renovations, equipment purchases and other capital costs.
The loan helped the business retain two full-time jobs.
