First-Time Jobless Claims Up 10K

In the week ending Sept. 13, 455,000 Americans filed claims for unemployment benefits for the first time, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

That’s an increase of 10,000 from the previous week’s unrevised figure of 445,000. The 4-week moving average was 445,000, an increase of 5,000 from the previous week.
