In the week ending Feb. 14, 627,000 Americans filed claims for unemployment insurance coverage for the first time, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
The total is unchanged from the previous week’s revised figure. The 4-week moving average was 619,000, an increase of 10,500 from the previous week.
