According to the U.S. Department of Labor , 348,000 Americans filed for unemployment insurance coverage for the first time during the week ended Feb. 9.
That’s a decrease of 9,000 from the previous week’s revised figure of 357,000. The 4-week moving average was 347,250, an increase of 12,000 from the previous week.
