In the week ending Nov. 29, 509,000 Americans filed claims for unemployment insurance benefits for the first time, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
That’s a decrease of 21,000 from the previous week’s revised figure of 530,000. The 4-week moving average was 524,500, an increase of 6,250 from the previous week.
