Starbucks, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Orangetheory Fitness highlight the first seven tenants announced by Auburn developer Galaxy Development on Thursday. Hot Table Panini, Sprint, Gentle Dental and Alpha Nail Bar were also announced.
The first stores are expected to open before the end of the year.
Starbucks currently has a location just about a half-mile up the street at 1 West Boylston St. Hot Table Panini opened last fall at the Apex Center of New England in Marlborough, and Orangetheory Fitness opened last year at Lakeway Commons in Shrewsbury.
The retailers will open in a small cluster of buildings between Park Avenue and Grove Street at the south end of the Gold Star Boulevard and West Boylston Street commercial corridor.
The old WRTA building was demolished last year. It had opened in 1928 as a trolley barn and was later converted to a transit facility. The WRTA opened its new $90-million hub on Quinsigamond Avenue in 2016.
